When we renovated this 1939 English Manor style home, originally designed by California architect Paul Williams, we remained faithful to its original design while incorporating modern-day conveniences. The stonework chef’s kitchen, steam oven and hand-carved cabinetry are just a few of the details that exemplify the seamless integration of function and form. Behind the scenes, mechanical elements include a gas-fired chiller system and controls set in outbuildings away from living spaces. By working with what was already there, we helped to preserve the historic quality of the estate, yet ensured the owners would live in maximum comfort.
